College is a massive transition. You don't have to navigate it feeling stuck in place.

Active, collaborative telehealth psychotherapy tailored specifically for undergraduate and graduate students across Pennsylvania. Break out of anxiety loops, overcome assignment paralysis, and build real momentum on your own terms.

When the campus hype doesn't match your internal reality

Stepping onto any college campus—whether it’s a large university environment like Penn State and Pitt, or local Philadelphia hubs like Penn, Drexel, and Temple, or elite liberal arts schools like Swarthmore, Haverford, Bucknell, F&M, Dickinson and Allegheny—brings an unprecedented shift in independence. But beneath the surface of a busy schedule, the weight of academic demands and intense digital comparison with your peers can quickly lead to burnout, identity paralysis or imposter syndrome.

You might find yourself caught in these common invisible anxiety loops:

  • The Procrastination Cycle: Wanting to do so well on an assignment that the pressure paralyzes you, leading to late-night panic and avoidance.

  • Classroom Imposter Syndrome: Sitting in a lecture hall convinced that you are the only one who doesn't have it figured out.

  • The Social Jolt: Navigating roommates, modern dating culture, and the sudden loss of your built-in support network back home.

Therapy with me isn’t a space where you just sit and vent into a screen. It is an active, conversational partnership. We will untangle the patterns keeping you frozen, make sense of the noise, and map out concrete, do-able steps to turn your inaction into steady, reliable momentum. It will feel good to get that feeling back again.

A Message for Parents: Supporting Their Launch

Are you watching your bright, capable college student struggle psychologically? Do they seem paralyzed by the pressures of college life?

As a parent, these years can be grueling. You are acutely aware that the path from age 18 to 25 is rarely a straight line, but knowing exactly how to parent through this transition is incredibly difficult. You want to support them, but you also know they need to build their own independent footing.

With 20 years of clinical experience, I specialize in helping young adults successfully navigate the modern jolt of the transition to college. My background—as a Penn-trained therapist, former high school counselor and father who spent a decade immersed in family life—gives me an empathetic and practical appreciation for the complexity of your child's world at college and your role as a parent.

I don't treat your student like a clinical problem to be solved with stiff, rigid formulas. I meet them with warmth, straightforward curiosity, and respect. Together, we will give them the tools they need to dismantle their academic anxiety and confidently step into their adult life.

Modern Telehealth Built Around Your Schedule

College schedules are chaotic, shifting entirely from one semester to the next. Your mental health support shouldn't disrupt your education.

  • Scheduling Made Easy: My daytime telehealth slots are specifically designed to fit flexibly around lecture blocks, lab sessions or club meetings.

  • Statewide Continuity: Because I am a licensed therapist across the entire state of Pennsylvania my clients are spread far and wide. Whether your student is living on campus in State College, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and its suburbs or anywhere in between, I’m right around the corner.

  • Out-of-Network Simplicity: I operate out-of-network to protect our clinical independence, allowing me to focus entirely on your student's growth. I provide a monthly Superbill and will guide you step-by-step on how to unlock direct reimbursements from your insurance provider if you plan to do that.
